PURPOSE:

The documents presented are strictly to assist with proper governance of the various working activities within the sport of sledding and pulling or carrying of weights.

To ensure health & safety and/or stipulations against animal cruelty, check list should be utilised under the signature of each musher participating.

Stricken adherence to be applied by all affiliated Clubs regardless whether it's for social/fun, training and/or sanctioned events.

All these forms are supported within the SAMA Constitution and the Bylaws being applied.

Permission is hereby provided for each Club to copy and paste the content of each Check Form, Event Report and Supporting Check Lists or to obtain a document in MSWord format directly from the Secretary.

SHORT OVERVIEW:

  1. Event Entry Form - includes the various Classes, Mushers Information, Check List, Dogs Entered Info, release Agreement.

  2. First Aid Kit Check List - Content for "Trail First Aid Kit for Dogs", "Comprehensive First Aid Kit for dogs" & "Comprehensive First Aid Kit for Musher".

  3. Event Marshal Report Form - Event data, protests logged, Earmarked for Doping Control, Weather Conditions and general summary of the event.

  4. Mushers Event Report  - Classes entered, Evaluation, General feedback & Comments.

  5. Doping Control Form - doping selection letter to musher to provide sample A & B tests.

  6. Animal Protection Act - Animal protection and welfare remains the responsibility of the musher and dog owner.
