FRIEND OF THE ALASKAN MALAMUTE IN SOUTHERN AFRICA - CHAT GROUP FORUM
a First for the Alaskan Malamute Breed in South Africa
We have started a CHAT FORUM for dedicated Alaskan Malamute breeders, owners and exhibitors, as well as newcomers or even those showing interest in the breed. Our aim is to provide a platform for healthy, constructive discussions on matters relating to this wonderful breed. We would like to utilize this chat forum to reach out to the owners of an estimated 1,500 Alaskan Malamutes in Southern Africa to join in our activities and offerings. FAMC CHAT GROUP
· We hope to provide a platform for more advanced discussions focusing on issues relevant to the Alaskan Malamute breeder, the owner & the exhibitor.
· We trust that it would be a chat forum for serious owners of the Alaskan Malamute breed in discussing topics concerning the breed ONLY. No personal vendettas to be discussed.
· It represents a dedicated group of Malamute owners that only has interest in thoughtful discussions regarding the Alaskan Malamute breed, including issues such as maintaining the Breed Standard and promoting the overall welfare of the breed.
· It’s members would like to build relationships between those interested in the breed as after all would like to remain "Friends".
· We would like to strive towards bringing back the fun in having an Alaskan Malamute and to promote the breed to all interested.
RULES:
1. At all times include your name and surname for proper identification.
2. Only topics concerning the Alaskan Malamute Breed regarding showing, breeding, grooming, feeding, performance training, social club events, health issues, diseases & defects, everyday care, rescue, and breed history are encouraged.
3. No flaming, profanity, discussion personal vendettas or posts in violation of S.A Constitution will be allowed.
4. Any member who owns, shows, breeds, works, trains and/or loves the Alaskan Malamute breed is welcome to participate in posting articles or comment.
5. All postings to the forum will be moderated.
6. No advertising of litters will be allowed.
GENERAL:
It is our purpose and goal to maintain a chat forum and to ensure that those posting and participating will be treated with courtesy, dignity, and respect. Please don't abuse this privilege. We expect all participants to the chat forum list actively to help maintaining a friendly, open and courteous chat environment. The owners and moderators of this chat forum will enforce a "no-tolerance" policy for flaming, profanity, discussion personal vendettas against others or posts in violation of Constitution of South Africa. Healthy debate is encouraged and always welcome; but personal flaming will NOT be tolerated. Offenders will be dealt with privately on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of the list owner.

If a specific posting or comments makes you angry, give yourself time to calm down. Read all the posts to the list before replying, maybe someone else might have already clarified the question. You and you alone are responsible for what you say; remember that it could be considered libel and you might end in a Court of Law. When replying to a previous posting, it is common to quote parts of it. However, please quote only the part(s) that is necessary - repeating is unnecessary.
BRAGGING ABOUT YOUR ALASKAN MALAMUTE(S) OR ACHIEVEMENTS ARE WELCOMED.
Direct advertisements to sell litters will not be allowed, but announcing your puppies will be accepted, as are requests for assistance in re-homing dogs or rescued dog or any older dog that is in need of permanent placement.
COPY RIGHTS.
Each individual author owns the copyrighted to his/her messages . You may not copy or in any way redistribute any message to anyone other than to the Chat Forum or another list member without the written permission of the author. It is okay to cross-post list messages to other lists, ONLY IF the author gave written permission ahead of time, and the posting is copied in its complete context and the original author's name is included.
